Course Description

Catterick racecourse is largely flat and runs left handed for 1 mile 1 furlongs. The National Hunt course features eight fences and is a slightly longer circuit. Like many racecourses Catterick features an extension for flat sprint races and in addition features a ninth fence for use in selected National hunt races.

Facilities

The Club Enclosure: Punters in the Members’ area have exclusive access to the prestigious members enclosurem the Club bar and the Hot servery.  The Members dining room is adjacent to the parade ring. Book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Tattersalls Enclosure: Customers have access to the main grandstand, parade ring and winners enclosure. Inside you’ll find three fully licenced bars, (check out, The Gods Solution Bar) a self service cafeteria and multiple  fast food outlets.

The Course Enclosure: Located in the middle of the course this is definitely the most family friendly of the enclosures. Inside you’ll find bar and cafeteria facilities and a children’s playground. In the summer, extra childrens entertainment is provided.

Directions

By Car: The Racecourse is situated just off the A1 approximately 5 miles south of Scotch Corner. Quick reference to a road atlas will show you that the exit at Catterick Village is the most suitable point to leave the A1. The Racecourse is situated on the outskirts of the village and well signposted from the A1.

By Rail: Darlington is the most conveniently situated railway station, approximately 15 miles from the Racecourse. The United Bus Station is easily found by exiting the railway station (via the back entrance) andwalking down Victoria Road. Buses run frequently to Catterick Bridge and stop outside the Racecourse. Call the Bus Station on (08706) 082608 to confirm bus times and plan your journey. If you would prefer to take a cab call ‘Village Taxis’ on (01748) 836536.
