Course Description

Carlisle Racecourse features a unique pear shaped circuit 1 mile and 5 furlongs in length. This undulating course runs right-handed and features an extension on the home straight for sprint races. The chase course features nine fences.

Facilities

The County Badge Enclosure: Punters in the County Badge enclosure have access to all public areas in addition to access to the Upper Terracing, Pattersons Bar and Swifts Restaurant. Two and three course lunches and afternoon tea are available at the restaurant and customers are advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Tattersalls Enclosure: A variety of bars and fast food stands are available within this enclosure. Entry gives you access to the Jubilee Grandstand, Bell Hall & Lower Terracing.

Directions

By Car: Carlisle Racecourse is situated one and a half miles South of the City, and only two miles from Junction 42 of the M6, it is well signposted from here. Parking is free.

By Rail: Nearest BR station is Carlisle and the distance between the station and the course is 2 miles.
