Course Description
Brighton racecourse is a C shaped circuit of 1 mile 4 furlongs. The home straight starts off downhill and gradually increases in steepness.
The Premier Enclosure:
Entry into the premier enclosure gives customers access to the facilities in the Grandstand and Paddock enclosure. In addition one of the bars features a huge screen to view races on so that you never miss any of the action. Spectacular views of the track can be seen from the Premier Lawn and Balcony Bar.
The Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure:
A variety of bars and catering outlets selling food and drink are available from within the Grandstand and Paddock enclosure. A picnic area is also available.
Directions
By Car:The Racecourse is well sign-posted if you enter central Brighton on the A23. If you're coming from the seafront, you can head for the Palace Pier before driving eastbound along Marine Parade. Turn left at the first set of lights into Lower Rock Gardens. Turn right at the second set of lights into Edward Street , then first left into Freshfield Road. The Racecourse is at the top of the hill.
By Rail:Brighton is less than an hour from London by train. Trains run from Victoria, London Bridge and Thameslink station including Kings Cross. Frequent coastway services also operate from Eastbourne, Lewes, Hastings, Worthing and Portsmouth.
