Course Description
The course at Beverley runs right handed and is 1 mile 3 furlongs in length. The oval circuit features a downhill back straight and a tight final bend into the home straight. The horses come home via a steep 3 furlong uphill climb. Races of 5 furlongs start on an extension of the home straight and are uphill throughout.
Facilities
The Members Enclosure: This enclosure features the popular Lawn Bar which is a favourite amongst punters due to its garden overlooking the winning post. The fully licensed bar offers a range of sandwiches. Members Restaurant offers views over the track and in addition features its own private viewing balcony. An à la carte menu is available for those who wish to dine or for those who just wish for a pick me up, afternoon tea is available. Advanced booking for the restaurant is recommended to avoid disappointment.
The Tattersalls Enclosure: Entry into this enclosure grants punters access the main Grandstand, Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure. The popular Rapid Lad Bar offers a range of beers and lagers on tap in addition to a selection of hot and cold snacks. The Restaurant is self service and its varied menu caters for most tastes and dietary needs.
The Paddock Bar offers superb views of the parade ring and race track.
Directions
By Car: Follow the M62 to the A164 junction. For those travelling from York, follow the A1079, from Bridlington and Scarborough the A165 to the A1035, while from the south follow the A15, cross the Humber Bridge and join the A164.
By Rail: Travel to Hull where a direct train to Beverley runs every 20 minutes. The distance from the station to Beverley racecourse is 2 miles.
