Course Description
Newcastle’s testing racecourse runs left handed for over 1 mile and six furlongs and features an uphill finish. For shorter fixtures (< 1 mile) the home straight features an extension and the Chase course includes 11 testing fences.
Facilities
The Premier Enclosure: Newcastle’s Colonel Porter Grandstand is superb and members of this enclosure have exclusive access to it. With unbeatable views, superb bars and the excellent Gosforth Park Suite Restaurant this makes for an exciting days racing.
The Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure: Punters have full access to the main grandstand, parade ring and winners enclosure and a terrace stand overlooks a wonderful picnic area which is great for families. Bars and catering outlets are available for food and drink.
Directions
By Car: The course is close to the junction of the A1 and A1056. Parking is free.
By Rail: Newcastle Central Station is on the main East Coast line and is only 15 minutes by car/taxi to Newcastle Racecourse.
