Course Description
Huntingdon racecourse is oval shaped and stretches out over 1 mile 4 furlongs. The course is right-handed and features 9 fences per lap (1 water jump, 2 ditches).
Facilities
The Members Enclosure: Customers in what is Huntingdon’s most grand enclosure are treated the exclusive use of the newly refurbished grandstand. Check out Bevan’s bar for a superb view of the racecourse and parade ring. For fine dining visit the Peterborough Chase Restaurant which serves an excellent range of dishes. Pre booking is recommended for the restaurant.
The Paddock Enclosure: This popular enclosure puts punters right amongst the action on the finishing straight. Customers have access to the parade ring and winners enclosure. There are a range of bars and restaurants such as the newly opened Gifford’s Bar, Smith Eccles Bar and the Hurdles restaurants. You can visit a wonderful Champagne and Seafood bar.
The Picnic Car Park: Customer can drive up close to the railings and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the picnic area. This family friendly offers children’s entertainment and food to take away as well as the usual betting facilities.
Directions
By Car: The course is half a mile off the A1, on the A14, the A1/M1 link road that joins the M11 at Cambridge
By Rail: Huntingdon Station is one and a half miles from the course.
