Fernando Ricksen has sealed his loan move from Rangers to Zenit St Petersburg.

Rangers agreed a one-year loan deal with the Russian club last week and Ricksen has now tied up the formalities of the move.

Ricksen found himself frozen out of things after an incident on the flight out to South Africa for The Gers' pre-season tour.

The Dutchman has been told he does not figure in Paul Le Guen's plans for this season.

Ricksen will link up again with Dick Advocaat at Zenit, with Advocaat bringing the 30-year-old to Rangers six years ago.

The versatile performer will make a quick return to Ibrox as the Russian side are set to face Rangers in a friendly next week as part of the loan agreement.
