| Ross McCormack joins Motherwell |
Ross McCormack has signed a two-year deal with Motherwell.
The 19-year-old striker, who is a product of the Rangers youth system, has moved to Fir Park for an undisclosed fee and will join former teammate Brian McLean in Maurice Malpas' squad ahead of the 2006/07 season.
The livewire forward ironically made his debut for the Light Blues as a substitute against Motherwell on May 1 2004 and went on to score from the penalty spot in his first start against Dunfermline on the final day of the 2003/04 season.
Ross was also the hero on his full Champions League debut, netting a vital equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Porto at the impressive Dragao Stadium in November 2005.
In order to gain more top team experience, the hitman agreed a loan move to Doncaster Rovers in January 06 and scored five goals in 19 appearances before returning to Rangers at the end of the season.
Malpas, who is also boss of the Scotland under-21 side, is looking forward to working with a player he knows all about from the international scene.
He said: "I have seem him improve a lot in the last year and his time at Doncaster has helped him develop as well.
"We have given him a platform and it is up to him to see how he gets on. It will take time for him to get up to speed and get used to our system."
