| Former Rangers defender joins Frankfurt |
Greek international defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos has joined Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal at the Commerzbank-Arena after spending a season at Rangers.
He scored one goal in 28 starts for the Scottish Premier League giants, but was released by the club when new boss Paul Le Guen took over from Alex McLeish at the helm.
Frankfurt coach Friedhelm Funkel has signed Kyrgiakos as part of his plans to build on the team's successful top flight return last season.
The player has been capped 19 times at international level and it is hoped his experience will boost the squad.
Eintracht finished 14th in the Bundesliga last term and qualified for the Uefa Cup by virtue of their German Cup final defeat to Bayern Munich.
