| Rangers land Letizi from PSG |
Rangers coach Paul Le Guen has ended his search for a new keeper with the capture of Lionel Letizi.
With doubts surrounding the future of Ronald Waterreus and Stefan Klos likely to miss the start of the season due to injury, Le Guen made it a priority to bring in a top-class keeper.
Paris Saint Germain keeper Letizi had long been his number one target and talks began earlier in the summer.
PSG were happy for Letizi to move on following the capture of Mickael Landreau and the 33-year-old concurred on a deal on Friday.
Gers chief Le Guen has faith in Letizi and has handed him a two-year deal.
"I am delighted Lionel has joined Rangers and I look forward to working with him in the new season," Le Guen told the club's website.
"He is a very experienced goalkeeper who is looking for a new challenge and will be a great asset to the club."
Letizi added: "I am delighted to be coming to Glasgow. Rangers are a huge club with a fantastic support and I am looking forward to a new challenge under Paul Le Guen." |
