Hibernian have signed Livingston striker Paul Dalglish for a nominal fee, while allowing forward Sam Morrow to go the other way on loan.
Dalglish, 28, moved to Almondvale in August after a two-year break from senior football and has scored 6 goals.
Morrow, 20, has made 12 appearances - mostly from the bench - this term but has failed to find the net.
The Northern Ireland U-21 international arrived at Easter Road from Ipswich at the start of last season.
"Sam is a player I've admired for a while," Livi manager Paul Lambert told the club website.
"And I think he will bring something extra to the team at this vital time of the season."
Dalglish started his career with Celtic, the club graced by his more famous father, Kenny.
He went on to Liverpool, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Blackpool, Linfield and Modena.
He joined Livi on a short-term deal, which he extended in December, but Lambert agreed to let him leave once it became clear he was interested in a move to Edinburgh.
