Arsenal's Quincy Owusu Abeyie has joined Spartak Moscow for an undisclosed fee.

The Dutch Under-21 star joined The Gunners from Ajax in September 2002 and made 23 full appearances for the club.

Owusu Abeyie has recently been nursing an injury to his medial ligament, although the Russian club are satisfied that he will be back in action early in February.

Nancy and Reggina had previously expressed an interest in the 19-year-old, although he will now link up with Spartak, who finished second in the Russian League in 2005.
