Alaves have signed Albacete forward Antonio Pacheco on loan until the end of the season.

The Uruguayan, who had a spell at Internazionale earlier in his career, has been at Albacete for the past three years.

He has been a fixture in the first-team for all that time, but appears to have lost the confidence of manager Cesar Ferrando recently having been relegated to the bench for the last three games.

The skilful attacker, who tends to play just behind an out-and-out striker, will now switch to struggling Alaves and could complete a permanent transfer in the summer if he impresses.

"The deal is until the end of the season and after that we'll see," stated Albacete president Angel Contreras.

Alaves currently lie third bottom in La Primera but have picked up in recent weeks having won two of their last three games.
