Bordeaux have completed the capture of Sporting Lisbon's Beto.

The 29-year-old has inked a two-and-a-half year deal with the Ligue 1 outfit in a bid to force his way back into the Portuguese national team.

Beto has already won 29 caps but has fallen out of favour recently as a result of a lack of first-team opportunities at Sporting.

Bordeaux coach Ricardo has already warned fans that it will take the defender at least a fortnight to adjust to life in France.
