| Preston finalise Stock transfer |
Preston have completed the signing of Bournemouth midfielder Brian Stock.
After days of speculation the 24-year-old has agreed a deal with Deepdale bosses keeping him at the club until 2010. North End will pay an initial fee of £100,000 for his services.
"Brian Stock flew up from Southampton on Friday evening to take a medical, which he passed, whilst Billy Davies and myself were in negotiations with his representative," said Preston chairman Derek Shaw.
"We have agreed a deal with Brian to sign a four-and-a-half year contract here at Deepdale."
Manager Davies was delighted to wrap up the transfer of a player who has been an ever-present for Bournemouth this season.
"We have added a quality midfielder to the squad. Brian has an excellent football brain and we are looking forward to working with him," he enthused.
