| Portsmouth pay-as-you-play deal for Olisadebe |
Portsmouth have completed the signing of Polish striker Emanuel Olisadebe.
The Nigerian-born 27-year-old was recently told by Panathinaikos that he was free to find another club, prompting him to chance his arm at Fratton Park during a brief trial spell.
It was initially thought that Pompey boss Harry Redknapp was unlikely to pursue Olisadebe after expressing concerns over his fitness but, after negotiating a pay-as-you-play deal, he has now completed a switch to the South Coast.
"I am very happy to be joining Portsmouth and excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League which, for me, is the best league in the world," he told the club's official website.
"I hope to play and do well for the team and it feels good to be back after my trial last month."
