| Sporting Clinch Deivid Deal |
Sporting Lisbon have clinched the signing of Deivid from Bordeaux.
The Brazilian striker has penned a four-year deal at the Portuguese SuperLiga club after Sporting paid a fee in the region of €3 million to secure his services.
Bordeaux were willing to sell Deivid after he failed to live up to expectations following his move from Cruzeiro in 2003.
Deivid spent the last year-and-a-half at Santos after falling down the pecking order with Les Girondins.
His performances at Santos alerted Sporting and they have moved to take him to Lisbon.
Meanwhile, Bordeaux have snapped up former Paris Saint Germain ace Laurent Leroy.
Leroy has signed a one-year deal at Bordeaux after impressing on trial and he will help fill the void left by the departure of Deivid.
