| Livi Give Mackay Homeland Return |
Livingston have handed Oxford United defender David Mackay his coveted return to Scotland.
Mackay revealed earlier in the week that he was quitting Oxford as he was keen to head back to his homeland.
The 24-year-old moved to The Kassam Stadium last summer from Dundee and was a virtual ever-present in League Two.
But he has now signed for Livingston and the SPL club's manager Paul Lambert is delighted to add Mackay's versatility to his squad.
"Dave is a strong, young player," Lambert told the club's official website. "He wanted to come home and we are very pleased to have signed him.
"We have been looking for a right back, especially because if the injury sustained by David McNamee.
"Dave can also play centre back so his arrival gives us some options in defence which has been a priority for me."
St Johnstone were also keen on the stopper but Mackay has been able to secure a return to The SPL.
