| Zurawski Finally Signs On For Celtic |
Celtic have finally clinched the signing of Polish striker Maciej Zurawski.
The hit-man has put pen to paper on a three-year contract in a deal that will see The Bhoys pay Wisla Krakow £2 million.
Celtic have been chasing Zurawski for several weeks and the deal had seemed in danger of collapsing as it dragged on without resolution.
However, the 28-year-old has now signed on the dotted line and becomes Celtic's second striking capture following the arrival of Jeremie Aliadiere.
Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan expressed his delight at finally landing his man.
"We are delighted Maciej has signed for the club," he told the club's official website.
"This is something we have been working hard for over the last couple of weeks.
"He promised that he would be back with us to sign - and that is exactly what he has done.
"Maciej's international and league record in terms of goalscoring is exceptional, and it was this, and his all-round play which attracted us to him".
Zurawski himself added: "I am very happy to sign for a club of Celtic's stature.
"I hope to perform well for Celtic in Scottish football and hopefully in the Champions League as well.
"Celtic has a great history and wonderful fans and I am very excited about playing for my new club."
The SPL outfit are continuing their pursuit of new players having offered Algerian international Djamel Belmadi a trial.
The 29-year-old is currently on the books of Qatar-based outfit Al Ittihad, but it is understood he would be able to cancel his contract to secure a move if he impresses.
