Trap has no intention of quitting  Latest Transfer

Stuttgart's veteran coach Giovanni Trapattoni has no intention of resigning from the beleaguered Bundesliga side.

Stuttgart are ninth with just 11 points and president Erwin Staud had intimated on Tuesday that the Italian's position could soon be in jeopardy.

Despite growing pressure, Trapattoni remains unbowed and claimed: "I don't think of resignations.

"I'd only think of that if I believed the team was no longer following what I was saying."

Stuttgart face a difficult Uefa Cup engagement with French side Rennes on Thursday and Trapattoni can ill-afford another setback if he is to strengthen a tenuous relationship with Staud.
