Former Labour Scottish Office Minister Brian Wilson is to become the acting chairman of Celtic Football Club.
The club's current chair, Brian Quinn, is to have heart surgery and is expected to return to work after several weeks of recuperation.
Wilson, who stood down as Cunninghame North MP, is presently an independent non-executive director with Celtic.
The 69-year-old Quinn will have an operation to replace a defective heart valve at a London hospital.
