Australian Mark Webber has all but abandoned hope of winning his home Grand Prix in Melbourne this year. Williams have already admitted they do not expect to be competitive straight away after problems in testing.
And Webber said: "We will be a force in the future. I think the first few races will be a little bit tough for us, we are not hiding away from that."
On Sunday, the Sydney Harbour Bridge was closed to allow Webber to drive across it in a promotional appearance.
"To drive across the bridge was pretty eerie obviously, having it shut off," Webber said.
"It was incredible to drive the car across there. Actually I was quite nervous, I just wanted to make sure it all went well and it did. The car ran well."
