Michael Vaughan is set to return for the crucial Tri-Series match against New Zealand in Brisbane on Tuesday.
The England captain has missed England's last five one-day matches after tweaking a hamstring in his side's victory over New Zealand in Hobart.
But the 32-year is set to take his place against the Kiwis at the Gabba in a match which is set to decide who plays Australia in the best-of-three final, starting in Melbourne on Friday.
"I have come through four or five days of solid running and as long as I get through tomorrow's practice I will be available for selection," said Vaughan.
"I thought I could have played on Friday, but it was a precaution not to."
England revived their hopes of making the finals with a 92-run win over the Australian at the SCG on Friday.
"I know there has been a lot of talk, people saying we want to go home, but we don't," added Vaughan.
"We want to get into the finals because we feel it will be a real big achievement to reach those finals."
England opener Mal Loye has also been cleared to play at the Gabba order after he was struck on the helmet by a delivery from Glenn McGrath on Friday.
